A Streator man has been indicted on a charge of failing to report an accident involving death. A grand jury has formally charged 26-year old Gabriel Benitez.
He’s accused of hitting 45-year old Carl J. Telford with his SUV while Telford was riding his bike on IL 351 south of LaSalle.
Benitez is free after posting bond. He’ll be back in court on June 2nd.
