Another angel has gained their wings and has gone on to be with our Lord. Our beautiful mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be forever loved and missed dearly by everyone. Especially, her favorite cat Willow.
Judith A. Demko, 81 of Streator passed away Thursday (May 19, 2022) at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa surrounded by her loved ones.
A visitation will be held Saturday (May 28th) from 11AM until noon at Winterowd Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be sons Michael & Mark Demko along with grandsons Jason and Joshua Moore.
Judy was born May 25, 1940, in Ottawa to Rudolph and Catherine (Fahey) Lazar. She married Louis J. Demko on November 8, 1958. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1999.
Surviving are sons Michael Louis Demko and Mark Allen (Gina) Demko, daughter Kathleen Moore all of Streator, grandchildren, Jason (Maria) Moore, Joshua (Isabelle Racho) Moore, Susan (David) Arndt, Sheri (Ben) Kowalski, Sarah Rister (Philip Paige), and Mark (Sarah) Demko Jr., 9 great-grandchildren, brother Jamie Lazar of Chicago and sister Kathleen Dorsett of Ottawa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis, son Jeffrey, brothers John and Rudolph Lazar.
Judy attended Ottawa grade schools and Ottawa high School. She retired from Streator Unlimited and Anchor Glass. Judy was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.
