A car caught fire inside a west side Ottawa garage yesterday afternoon. The owner told fire fighters he’d been working on the car. When he started the engine, the fuel injector came off and fuel spread out. It came into contact with the hot exhaust and the fire started. The Ottawa Fire Department estimates damage at $25,000 to the garage and $8,000 to the things inside. That was in the 900 block of Illinois Ave.
