James A. Cashmer, 51 of Streator passed away Sunday (May 15, 2022) at his home.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 6 PM with services at 6PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blackstone Cemetery at a later date.
Jim was born on December 7, 1970, in Streator to Willard and Martha (LePard) Cashmer. He married Kelly Papenburg on June 10, 1995. She survives.
Also surviving is son, Jesse (Robyn Stockman) Cashmer of Streator, brothers, Bill (Wanda) Cashmer of Sikeston, MO, Ray (June West) Nicklin of Chillicothe, sister Deb (Bill) Kelly of Sikeston, MO, In-laws, Clarence and Pam Papenburg of Blackstone and several nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents.
Jim graduated from Woodland High School in 1989 and had served in the National Guard and was a member of Central Church of Christ.
