Letter carriers food drive collects 4,500 pounds in Ottawa area

Ottawa area letter carrier Michael Scheib says postal customers in the Ottawa zip code gave about 4,500 pounds of food to the Stamp Out Hunger food drive. They also donated $250 in cash. Seneca and Marseilles area people may have donated about 1,500 more pounds of food. Area food pantries are getting the food to help people who need it. Anyone who wants to donate food at the post office needs to get there by Tuesday afternoon, because the food will be collected in a final run around mid-week.
