Dennis Robert Kofoid, 66, of Marseilles, passed away peacefully Friday, May 6, 2022 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Ron Wackerlin officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Leonore at a later date.
Dennis was born July 4, 1955, in LaSalle, IL to Walter and Joan (McLaughlin) Kofoid.
He was an ironworker and a member of Ironworkers Local 444 until his retirement. Dennis was the family handyman. He enjoyed puzzles, the outdoors, hunting, and his motorcycles. He loved his dogs, Gidget and Lucy, and taking Gidget for rides.
He is survived by his mother, Joan McLaughlin Kofoid; two sons, Jeff Kofoid of Utica and Shane Kofoid of Marseilles; his daughter, Randi (Derek) Ghiotto of Shorewood; four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jake, and Mason Kofoid and Aria Ghiotto; his siblings, Chris (Emil) Crouch, Jean (Miles) Kleckner, Marcia (Bill) Hall, Ronald (Jennifer) Kofoid, Greg Kofoid, and Ann (Mark) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Walter S. Kofoid, and his brother, Larry.
