The LaSalle Streets, Alley’s and Traffic Committee wants to petition the Illinois Department of Transportation for no turn signs for semis on Richard Hallett Rd. Residents came back to this week’s meeting to ask the committee to approve placing the signs on U.S 6.
They say they don’t want the trucks to come down the street while roundabout construction is happening at the intersection of U.S 6 and IL 178.But the highway is run by IDOT, and they would need to approve if the signs can be placed. The committee asked Director of Public Works Patrick Watson to talk to IDOT about it.
