Jack K. Hert, 80 of Streator passed away Thursday (April 28, 2022) at the LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held Monday (May 2nd) from 10 AM until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be sons Garry and Danny, grandchildren Josh, Jessica , brother Willie, nephew Ron Crouch and Nate Phelps.
Jack was born on July 15, 1941, in Streator to Clyde and Bonnie (Ashley) Hert. He married Charlotte Crouch on July 17, 1960. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Garry (Lori) Hert of Waukesha, WI and Danny (DeShona) Hert of Bloomington, daughter Sherry Hert of Streator, grandchildren, Josh, Megan, Jessica and Abbey, 9 great-grandchildren, brothers, Larry Hert of Streator, Jerry Hert of Arizona and Willie (Debbie) Hert of Streator, sisters, Kay (Stan) Larson of Streator and Bonnie Tyler of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Jack attended Woodland School and retired from Prairie Farms and was a member of the Teamsters Local 722.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or the family of Jack Hert.
