Jury selection has been completed for the murder case against 38-year old Donald Fredres of Sandwich. All twelve jurors have been picked with two alternates available.
Fredres accused of killing his ex-wife’s parents, 62-year olds Brenda and Gregory Barnes, in their home near Sheridan. They were shot to death in March last year.
He is also accused of shooting out the windows at his ex-wife’s home the same night and trying to kill her. Assistant State’s Attorney Greg Sticka say he hopes the case to go to the jury by Thursday. Opening statements will start Tuesday morning.
