The LaSalle City Council accepted a bid from John Pohar and Sons for emergency sewer work on Donahue St. and Baker Ave. The project will cost around $141,000. City Engineer Brian Brown says the sewer is settling underground.
He says sewer is working, but not as well as it could be.
He says the designs of the project boxes around the north property line of a vacant lot so it doesn’t cost as much. He also says he will try save the city money by working with the company to use different pipe material.
