Peru’s city attorney says the city is the primary location for a new industrial business. At a special meeting Monday, the city council unanimously voted to approve a Tax Increment Financing District.
The city annexed about 142 acres of land north of Interstate 80 and west of Industrial Park Blvd in Bureau County last week. The city wants to have a special meeting on June 6th to announce the new business. The city’s attorney also says the business wants to break ground after July 4th.
