A bridge in Bureau County has been renamed to honor a man who served during the War in Iraq. The bridge was dedicated Wednesday to Sgt. Lincoln Hollinsaid of Malden who died on duty in 2003.
His father Dan Hollinsaid explains what the dedication means to the family.
St. Sen. Win Stoller and several dignitaries were there for the dedication of the bridge that goes over Interstate 80. The bridge was nicknamed the Flags of Freedom Bridge because it’s surrounded by four large American Flags on each corner.
