Drivers will have to slow down on Richard Hallett Rd. The LaSalle City Council approved to change the speed limit on their side of the street.
It will now be 30mph instead of 45mph. Residents like Sally Aderton told the city council that people are driving way too fast for people trying to back out of their driveways. She says when the stop light when in at Rt. 178 and U.S 6, Richard Hallet Rd became the by-pass.

Resident Nan Butler told the council other reason the speed should reduced is because of the noise.
