The Ottawa High School music program is a first place winner again in the state music program, according to the Illinois High School Association’s preliminary results. The school was second in class A after part one of the competition on March 5 with musicians. The choirs’ perfect score Saturday put OHS in first place.
This would be the 23rd championship since 1983. Twenty of those were consecutive from 1997 to 2016. The last first place win was in 2018.
