High School Baseball

Marquette won big over Roanoke Benson 14-4 at Masinelli Field. For the Crusaders Beau Ewers had three hits and drove in four runs, Sam Mitre added three more hits bringing in 2 runs. Pitchers Logan Nelson and reliever Carson Zellers combined for 9 strikeouts.

Woodland lost a cold one at home to Midland 15-9. Pitchers Ethan Schumm and Carter Ewing combined for 10 strikeouts for the Warriors in the loss.

Seneca won at Henry 10-8:  Bryce Roe had two singles, a double,a homer and drove in six runs for the Irish.

Newark lost at home to Westmont 7-4. Mitchell Kruser pitched 5 innings allowing 2 runs and 5 strikeouts for the Norsemen in the loss.

  

High School Softball

Seneca won big over Henry 16-0 in four innings. Zoe Hougas singled, tripled and drove in 5 runs for the Lady Irish.

Woodland dominated at home over Midland 21-0. For the Lady Warriors, Shae Simons went 4 innings with 6 strikeouts and Ella Sibert singled, homered and drove in 5 runs.

Newark were winners at home over Westmont 12-2. Taylor Kruser pitched 5 innings allowing no runs and struckout 12 batters.
