Cong. Adam Kinzinger says the Affordable Insulin Now Act that passed in the House of Representatives last week was a political sham vote. Kinzinger voted against the bill that supposed to cap insulin prices at $35.

He says the bill doesn’t do what Democrats have claimed it does. He says it doesn’t limit the price of insulin.

He says on WCMY’s Morning Meeting Tuesday he won’t miss this type of job in the House after he leaves. Kinzinger announced last year he is not running for reelection to the House but said last month said that he might run for president to try and keep Donald Trump from winning.

He says the bill will now just be used for political gain along party lines.

He says he’s excited to use his Country First PAC to educate voters on how politicians use the passing of laws for political gain.
