James E. Siefert, 84 of Streator and formerly of Ancona passed away Thursday (March 31, 2022) at Heritage Health, Streator with family at his side.
A visitation will be held Saturday (April 9th) from 10 am until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Please dress casual, that is what Jim would want.
Jim was born on May 15, 1937, in Osgood, IN to Adrian and Eva (Meyer) Siefert. He married Gloria Eckhart on October 17, 1961. She survives.
Also surviving are, son, David Michael Siefert Sr of Pontiac, daughter, Boni Lynn (Jack) Council of Streator, son, John Edward Siefert of Streator, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Patricia Mueller of Dillsboro, IN, brother Robert Siefert of Aurora, IN, nephews, Craig Siefert and Jason Riggs, nieces Cathy Montondo and Bobbi Jo Siefert, brothers-in-law, Bud Eckhart of Arizona and John Eckhart of California.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Adrian Siefert.
Jim graduated from Cincinnati Trade High School in 1959. He served in the US Airforce from 1960 to 1964. Jim retired from Thatcher Glass and Farm Service in Streator.
Jim enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
