Illinois Valley Community College’s 2022 Distinguished Alumnus is Dr. Holly Novak. She graduated in 1974 and went on to an illustrious career as a cardiologist.
Early in her career, Novak founded a cardiac catheterization laboratory and open heart surgery program at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bloomington. Today she specializes in heart disease prevention and women’s health at HSHS Medical Group in Springfield.
She will be the keynote speaker at the annual IVCC commencement on Saturday, May 14th.
