Ottawa Deputy Fire Chief Brian Bressner is going to become the next fire chief of the Ottawa Fire Department. Mayor Dan Aussem confirmed that he will be taking over the role after current Fire Chief Andy Borkowski retires in about a month. He’s been the fire chief since June of 2018.
He says Borkowski gave his retirement notice about two years ago.But with the pandemic, things weren’t able to change as quickly. The city announced they are looking for a deputy fire chief earlier this week.
