Former LaSalle County State’s Attorney Karen Donnelly has returned to private law practice. After Todd Martin defeated her in the State’s Attorney race of 2020, Donnelly went to work as a Grundy County assistant state’s attorney.
An announcement from attorney Tim Creedon’s law office says she’s returning to work at the south side Ottawa firm where she started in 1986. Donnelly was a legal secretary for a firm with more than one attorney’s name on it then. The announcement says she’s come full circle.
Just two months ago, Donnelly announced a run for the Illinois House 105th district seat, but she didn’t turn in petitions for it during the filing period this month.
