Mediacom internet customers are getting an internet download speed increase. Communications Manager Phyllis Peters says the company is giving a substantial download speed boost to many of the company’s most popular internet packages.
She says in many customers lives, customers are using more devices and need more bandwidth for them.
She says there will be no extra cost but customers might have to either reboot their modem or get a new one. She also says older modems from Mediacom can be exchanged at no additional charge.
Some of the packages will increase 100% while others will only increase 33%.
According to Mediacom, download speeds for Access Internet 60 will rise to 100 Mbps, a 67% increase. Download speeds for Internet 100 will jump to 200 Mbps, a 100% increase. And, download speeds for Internet 300 will move to 400 Mbps, a 33% increase.
