Sheila Kaye Goluba, 53

Sheila Kaye Goluba, 53 of Seneca passed away Thursday morning (March 3, 2022) at Morris Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday (March 19, 2022) at 11:00 AM at the Streator Knights of Columbus on the Dining Room side.
Sheila was born on April 28, 1968, in Streator to Thomas and Sandra (Melrose) Kmetz. She married her very best friend Bernard Scheffer on September 7, 2021.
Surviving her is her husband, Bernard Scheffer of Seneca; her children Amanda Goluba of Norfolk, VA, Billie (Brendan) Dimmig of Streator and Matthew Goluba of Seneca; three grandchildren Jayce, Liam and Nora Dimmig; sisters, Dawn Fulcher of Virginia Beach, VA, Theresa Kmetz of Lakeland, FL and Sandra Purcell of Casey, IL; brother Thomas Kmetz Jr. of Streator; her stepfather Glen Baker of Streator and extended family including nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Thomas Kmetz Sr.; her mother Sandra Baker; a daughter Ashley Goluba in infancy; paternal grandparents, Gaylord and Irene Kmetz; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Loretta Melrose; in-laws, Vince H. Scheffer and Mary Jane Scheffer.
Sheila attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. After receiving her CNA Certificate from IVCC, Sheila worked as a CNA. She had been formerly employed at Pleasant View Lutheran Home in Ottawa and in private health care.
Sheila enjoyed gift giving, candle making, cooking, and crocheting. She loved Bernie, her kids and grandchildren. Her heart was and forever will be with her family. Sheila will be dearly missed.
Memorials may be made in her name to Morris Hospital Cancer Care. These memorials may be sent directly to Morris Hospital Cancer Care or directed to Sheila’s children.
