The lawyer for 28-year old Bradley French of Varna was able to make it to court Friday. But there still isn’t a court date for French, who is accused of shooting and killing 38-year old Joshua Scaman of Oglesby with a razor-tipped arrow in 2015 at an Illinois Valley Community College parking lot.
Assistant State’s Attorney Greg Sticka says the prosecution is ready to go to trial but the defense is still waiting. Judge H. Chris Ryan set French’s next court date for April 28th.
He also says the trial should get moving along.
