A primary contest is expected in at least one LaSalle County Board district. Catherine Owens of Sandwich and John L. Middleton of Leland filed for district 5 in the northeast part of the county yesterday. Owens is on the board now. Both filed their signatures to be on the Republican primary ballots.
Three other Republicans, all incumbents, filed for other districts yesterday. So did two Democratic incumbents.
The new Republican filers with their district numbers: JoAnne McNally (1), Catherine Owens (5), John L. Middleton (5), Douglas L. Stockley (8), Arratta Znaniecki (24).
The new Democratic filers with their district numbers: Joseph Oscepinski, Jr. (10), Brian L. Dose (21).
There were no new filings for county-wide offices.
Filing continues until the end of the day Monday.
