Update: As of shortly before 10am, Ameren Illinois reports service has been restored in Ottawa and ComEd reports service has been restored southeast of the Newark-Millington area.
Ameren says 175 Ottawa area customers were affected by a power outage that started about 5:30 this morning because of a tree or branch falling on power lines. ComEd says 18 customers southeast of Seneca were without power since a few minutes after midnight because a vehicle hit a utility company pole. Two more ComEd customers southeast of the Newark and Millington area had a power outage that started around 6 this morning. The reason wasn’t immediately known. These outages happened after much of Oglesby lost power because of wind taking down trees and power lines there Saturday night.
