The city of LaSalle is hosting its own electronic drop-off event. Deputy City Clerk Brent Bader says the same people who help with the drop-off events at the Etna. Rd Courthouse in Ottawa are helping with the event.
He says it’s nice that the city can provide the event for its residents. He says that at lease 74 people have already signed up for appointments. He also says it seems like there is a lot of desire in the community to get rid of electronic waste.
The event is on Saturday, March 26th from eight to noon at Rotary Park. But LaSalle residents must make a reservation by either calling 815-630-4308 or by going here to pick a fifteen minute time limit.
The city will take most electronics Accept: loose alkaline batteries (accepted while contained in electronic devices), liquids containing items, freon containing items like AC units, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and freezers. Also thermostats and light bulbs..
