A 56-year old Indiana man who was thinking about representing himself against a drug-induced homicide charge now wants a private lawyer. Brian Mulcahy also wants his bond to be less than $1 million.
LaSalle County Judge Cynthia Raccuglia told Mulcahy this morning, he can have the public defender representing him now, or a private attorney if he hires one, ask for the bond reduction. She set a July 25th trial date to give a new lawyer time to look over the case.
Mulcahy is accused of supplying a lethal dose of heroin and fentanyl to a 15-year old Marseilles boy last April.
