Warren Cofoid
1938 – 2022
Warren Cofoid, 83, of Deer Park, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa with Rev. Bill Jacobsen, Pastor of Oglesby Union Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Deer Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Warren was born on July 17, 1938 in Ottawa to Maurice and Ora (Nelson) Cofoid. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. Warren was a lifelong farmer. He married Judith K. Tastad on July 28, 1962 at Freedom Lutheran Church. Warren attended the Oglesby Union Church. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed softball, bowling, and hunting. Warren was a member of the Oglesby Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; two children, Susan (Mike) Scully of Oglesby and Scott (Lisa) Cofoid of Peru; four grandchildren, Christie and Tom Scully and Madison and Connor Cofoid; a brother, Wendell Cofoid, of Oglesby; and a sister, Betty Ann Cofoid, of Irvine, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in-law, Janet Cofoid.
