An Ottawa man on parole since September 2020 is heading back to prison. Police arrested 24-year old Malcolm Prince in the 1200 block of Illinois Ave. Tuesday on warrants for violating parole and missing court in a property damage case. Prince was one of two men arrested in December 2015 on charges of robbing a marijuana dealer at gunpoint. He got a sentence of 12 years, six months.
Prince pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery. As part of the plea agreement, an armed robbery charge was dismissed. His sentence was not part of the agreement. Judge Cynthia Raccuglia held a sentencing hearing a few weeks later to determine how long Prince’s sentence should be.
