At the Class 1A Serena Super Sectional, the Lady Huskers of Serena are heading to the state tournament after defeating Ridgeview 46-34. Katie Baker finished with a game high 18 points and seven steals. Reese Cole also added 11 points for the Serena victory. The Lady Huskers will now face Galena in the State Class 1A Final Four at the ISU Redbird Arena in Normal on Thursday Afternoon.
The Lady Knights of Fieldcrest will go to their 1st ever trip to State after defeating Butler 43-40 in the Class 2A Super Sectional at Morton College. Fieldcrest will take on Winnebago in the Class 2A State Final Four also at the Redbird Arena on Thursday.

In college basketball, Northwestern was crushed on the road 82-61 at Iowa. Tonight Northern Illinois will host Kent State.
The Chicago Bulls are falling further behind the Heat after a 112-99 loss in Miami. Zach LaVine scored 22 points to pace the Bulls which have dropped two straight on the heels of a six-game winning streak. The Bulls visit Atlanta on Thursday.

There is a new deadline for the MLB and Players Association to come together on a collective bargaining agreement. According to reports, the two sides made major progress overnight on a deal and a new deadline was established for 5 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday. The sides reportedly made progress in multiple areas, including expanded playoffs. The new deadline is to avoid the cancellation of any games.
