Tonight in girls postseason basketball
At the Hinckley-Big Rock 1A Sectional, Serena will face their host Hinckley Big-Rock. Newark will take on Schaumburg Christian.
In the Peotone 2A Sectional, St Joseph versus Prairie Central and Fieldcrest will face Paxton Buckley-Loda.
At the LaSalle Peru 3A Sectional, Morton faces Galesburg and Geneseo will take on Washington.
The Shepherd Volleyball teams competed in their Conference tournament. The 7th Grade Lady Rams took 1st place and the 8th grade team took 4th place. The Shepherd teams take on Coal City today starting at 4:30.

Tonight in college basketball action, Illinois State travels to Southern Illinois, Northern is at Eastern Michigan, Northwestern will host Nebraska and Notre Dame is home to take on Syracuse.
Major League Baseball and the Players Association met Monday for nearly five hours and didn’t come to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement. The lockout has already affected spring training, which was delayed until at least March 5th. The sides are still working to avoid moving Opening Day, which is scheduled for March 31st.
