Republican St Sen. Sue Rezin of Morris says the ruling from the Fourth District Appellate Court rightfully provides schools with local control. The court dismissed the appeal Thursday that was filed by Gov. Pritzker as “moot” after the vote from the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.

She says the decision should be a wake-up call for the governor and should make him reevaluate his go-it-alone approach on government. She says it’s time for everyone to work together to create a better functioning state government.
