A woman in her 40’s was the youngest LaSalle County resident to lose her life to the coronavirus during the last week. The LaSalle County Health Department says 446 residents have died from the virus out of 28,339 cases so far. That’s a mortality rate of 1.6%.
Current cases number 3,129, down from 4,770 last week. With 293 new cases and 1,934 recoveries, the situation appears to be improving greatly.
The health department says the number of available intensive care unit beds in the region has gone up to 24%.
