Morris Republican St Sen. Sue Rezin says she supports the vote made by the Illinois Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. The committee voted 9-0 to block emergency rules that would have required school’s to enforce the governor’s mask mandate.

But there were two members who voted “present.” Rezin says in Gov. Pritzker’s quest for power, he and his administration were willing to further the chaos and confusion for schools throughout the state.

She says she hopes the governor realizes that his go-it-alone tactic is not in the best interest for the state.
