An Ottawa man was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual assault of two juveniles under the age of thirteen. 38-year old Michael W. Hughes was picked up in the 4100 block of Veteran’s Drive.
Detective Sgt. Kyle Booras says Ottawa police started an investigation Sunday and talked to a juvenile who had possibly been sexually assaulted. Booras says after further investigation, it was found that second alleged victim came forward.
He says the alleged offenses occurred last year. Hughes was taken to the LaSalle County Jail and has a $1 million bond.
