LaSalle Mayor Jeff Grove says it would be nice to keep a remodeling project in house. The city’s finance committee tabled a resolution to hire Kmetz Architects to help remodel the new Public Works Building the city purchased for $350,000.
Groves says with the experience that employees of the city have; taxpayers would save money if the city’s employees did it themselves. He says it will be good to move the Public Works Department out of downtown.
He says it would be nice to move the Public Works vehicles so a new business could set up downtown.
The building is located off Rt. 351.
