Firefighters in Peru are getting new air packs. There are used by firefighters so they can still breathe when they go into a burning structure or a place with little oxygen.

The city is paying about $121,000 for the first set of packs. Fire Chief Jeff King says they will last awhile. He says the last air packs lasted 20 years.

King says that the current air packs firefighters use are coming to the end of their life.
