St. Sen. Sue Rezin wants to stay in the Illinois Senate. The Morris Republican announced her reelection bid yesterday. She’ll still be in the 38th district. With last year’s redistricting, it will include parts of LaSalle, Bureau, Grundy, Dekalb, and Kendall counties for the next decade starting after the 2022 elections.

Rezin was appointed to the Illinois Senate in December 2010 right after she won a House seat and St. Sen. Gary Dahl resigned. Another office Rezin ran for was Congresswoman in 2020, but another candidate won that district’s Republican primary.
