Residents in Marseilles have other options to get liquor. The city updated an ordinance at last Wednesday’s meeting allowing businesses like gas stations, liquor stores, and some restaurants to deliver and allow pickup of alcohol, if they want to.
Mayor Jim Hollenbeck says he has some concerns about delivering to homes. He says worried about kids that could be at home, but the city is adjusting with the times.
But he says he understands if someone elderly would want liquor delivered to their home. He says the city is mirroring what the state law allows.
