Ottawa fire fighters rescued a person from a burning house in the 700 block of Mulberry St. last night. The person was unconscious and was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. He or she was found in the home’s kitchen. Other fire departments that helped put out the fire include Wallace, Naplate, and Marseilles.
The house has heavy damage. The fire spread up to the attic. Damage is estimated at $200,000 to the building and $100,000 to the things inside.
