Internet access could be free for qualifying households in this area. Mediacom is participating in the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program, which provides a $30 per month bill reduction. Mediacom Communications Director Phyllis Peters says if you’re using the company’s $30 per month service, the program covers your bill.
Audio PlayerThe program is for households with income up to 200% of the federal poverty level. People can qualify if they’re already using SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, or Lifeline, or if someone in the household has a Pell grant or other student aid.
