In a closed session at Tuesday’s meeting, the Ottawa Elementary School Board got to look at information from candidates who applied to be the next superintendent of the district. Board President Brenden Donahue says the board is excited to get the process rolling.
He says it’s a new time in education. He says he’s looking forward to someone being in the district and is ready to hit the ground running.
The district hired the Illinois Association of School Boards to help search for the best candidates to take over for retiring Supt. Cleve Threadgill. Consultant Patricia Sullivan-Viniard says the window for people to apply for the job closed on January 5th.
