In an effort to eliminate barriers to attending the school, Illinois Valley Community College is starting a child care center. Students will be able to take their children there, possibly as soon as early next month. The Illinois Valley YMCA is charging $50 per hour. The hours of operation will be determined on an ongoing basis. IVCC says a recent focus group found lack of child care is a barrier for some students.
