The LaSalle County Health Department is clarifying some questions that people had about moving COVID-19 tests online. The health department says any kid that is three years or younger should be accompanied by two adults for safety and accuracy of the results.

They are also reminding residence that walk-ins are no longer accepted. Residents should cancel appointments if they are no longer needed to allow the appointment to open up for someone else.

The department also says to make sure that the phone number, email, and date of birth are correct so you can receive your results. The health department still has the three tests available.

They says that the Rapid Antigen test is used for people who are showing symptoms. If you are not showing symptoms but still want a test, the department will direct you to complete either the send out PCR or Rapid Molecular test.

The Rapid Antigen and PCR are free but the Rapid Molecular test costs $41 dollars. The Rapid Molecular will be available in 15-20 minutes. The PCR tests will take 3-5 days to get back and resident must follow instructions to complete the HIPAA and Testing Consents page prior to your appointment.
