The Sandwich man accused of killing his ex-wife’s parents and trying to kill his ex-wife last March is scheduled for trial again. Thirty-eight year old Donald Fredres would have taken his case to trial this week. But last week, the lawyers on each side of the case agreed to postpone it because of COVID-19 infections making it hard to schedule witnesses. This morning, Judge H. Chris Ryan scheduled the trial for April 25th. Sixty-two year olds Brenda and Gregory Barnes were shot to death in their home near Sheridan last March. Windows were shot out at Fredres’ ex-wife’s house the same night.
