St. Rep. Tom Demmer is running for Illinois Treasurer. The Dixon Republican says the state needs a fiscal watchdog more than ever and he’s promising to be the one. He says he’ll be on the side of Illinois families and work to protect their hard-earned dollars by shining a light on how tax dollars are spent. Demmer says Democratic incumbent Treasurer Mike Frerichs is part of the tax-and-spend crowd. Demmer has been in the state legislature, representing a district that includes northern LaSalle County, since 2013.
