LaSalle Mayor Jeff Grove says he told a city crew to remove a tree from the KFC restaurant property to keep things looking good along U.S. 6. The tree had come down in a recent wind storm. Alderman James Bacidore says everyone else in town had to haul away their own trunks and branches.
The city has been dealing with other cleanup issues at KFC and it has fined the business. The city put dumpsters for people to drop branches in at Hegeler Park after that storm.
