The Ottawa High School board approved a remote learning plan Friday. So far, only students in quarantine are attending virtually. There’s no intention of going to full remote learning yet.

Supt. Mike Cushing says the most likely reason for that to change would be if teachers just can’t come in due to quarantine. At the special OHS board meeting, Cushing said decisions will also have to be made along the way about extracurricular activities, how many people can attend, and whether any visitors can get in.

Streator High School is switching to all remote learning with no extracurriculars through next week. More than 150 students are quarantined there.
