Lafayette “Jr.” Price, 79, of Broughton, IL, formerly of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Morris Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Crossbridge Community Church, in Ottawa, with Rev. Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Jr. was born on December 6, 1941 in Ottawa to Howard Lafayette and Frances Marie (Marlow) Price. He married Nancy Garrison on July 23, 1961 in Mendota. Jr. was an avid trapper and deer hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; four daughters, Cathleen Price of Tonica, Lois (Adam) Thompson of Norway, Julie (Richard) Phelps of Ottawa, and Susann (Nathan Miskell) Price of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Zellers, Bobby (Marissa) Zellers, Bradley (Bari Gage) Zellers, Adam Thompson, Jr., Lisa Thompson, Kyile Orvis, and Ashlynne Flamingo; 11 great grandchildren; four brothers, Carroll Price of Ottawa, John (Pam) Price of Marseilles, Jack (Bonnie) Price of Ottawa, and Donald (Linda) Price of Sun City West, AZ; and his favorite dog, Taffy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bertha Eighner, and a brother in infancy
