Jeanette T. Slager, 79 of Streator passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.
Private family services will be held with burial in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
Jeanette was born on October 2, 1942, in Streator to Roy and Mary (Bellis) Lippold. She married Herbert Bacon on February 3, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1962. She later married Lawrence Slager on November 2, 1976. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2018.
Surviving are children, Maxine (Dennis) Smith of Harrisburg, IL, Matthew (Jessica) Slager of Streator and Stephanie (Tom) Rader of Streator, grandchildren: Johnathan, twin granddaughters Hailey and Harper, a grandson Wesley Dean Slager due anytime and a granddaughter due in April of 2022: a brother Donald (Sharon) Lippold of Rutland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Herbert and Lawrence and a brother Roy Lippold Jr.
Jeanette attended St. Stephen’s grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1960. She attended St. Michael the Archangel Church. Jeanette retired from Save-A-Lot Grocery Store. Jeanette enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her children and grandchildren and being with the Hardee’s Girl Club.
The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
